Natalie's Score: 90/100

Love the deep cherry colour on this spicy 55% Monastrell, 30% Garnacha and 15% Syrah red wine blend. Fragrant with wild herbs, ripe dark fruit and black pepper aromas on the nose, this is a fleshy, full-bodied, vibrant red with food-friendly acidity and velvety tannins. So easy to enjoy. Pour with a meat-lover's pizza.

el Petit Bonhomme food pairings: cheese stuffed tortellini with rich tomato sauce, veal parmesan, chicken stew and roasted vegetables.

Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Certified by the European Vegetarian Union, this Spanish red blend features monastrell, garnacha and syrah from the country's Jumilla appellation. From its deep ruby hues emerged scents of plums, berries, spice and campfire smoke that announced a full bodied frame boasting bold, juicy dark fruit flavours and grippy tannins. This wine craves protein, so visit your butcher and fire up the BBQ. Enjoy.

Les Vins Bonhomme El Petit Bonhomme 2018 is fragrant with dark berry, plum, thyme, rosemary and black pepper aromas, vibrant on the palate with savoury herb, red currant, cherry, plum and peppers spice flavours. Produced from hand-harvested 55% Monastrell, 30% Garnacha and 15% Syrah wine grapes with a pre-fermentative cold maceration followed by a temperature-controlled fermentation for two weeks in small stainless-steel vats and then aged six month in oak barrels. Pair with roast chicken or duck. - Community Wine Reviews
