Vintages Wine Panel: Aromas of rose petals, raspberry, humus, and mocha. Dry and fresh with fruit still underneath waiting to unfold as it ages (allow 1-3 years). Fairly lengthy finish. Try it. Very Burgundian in style. My note: An intoxicatingly exotic perfume wafts up from the glass. This vineyard is only 3.25 hectares. The wine offers lovely aromas of fresh cherry, mocha, earth. Silky smooth and medium-bodied.

Pinot Noir food pairings: veal cutlets, grilled parsnips, grilled portobello mushrooms.

Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

One of my favorite Canadian Winery's with one of my favorite Canadian Pinot Noir's. With a deep ruby color, this has very complex aromas on the nose. Raspberry, cherry, mint and a toasty oak. All these flavors with an earthy palate and a nice long finish. Spectacular!
Anna Bazzo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This Pinot Noir really is a terrific wine and one of my favourites! It has the beautiful aromas of dark cherry, cocoa, ripe berries and vanilla. This Pinot Noir is a well-balanced, medium-bodied wine with juicy berry notes and a smooth memorable finish. Give this Ontario wine a try, as you can't go wrong with a bottle of Le Clos!
