This is my favourite wine from this winery, year after year. Its exuberant energy and power come from a complex weave of nuances: truffles, black cherry, violets, cedar box and dark spices. Brooding and temperamental: love it!

Pinot Noir food pairings: avocado and papaya salad, grilled radicchio, basil pesto, frittata.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Easy to see why Le Clos Jordanne is a favourite of restaurants and Sommeliers. Consistency and craftsmanship. Medium+ body with lots of dark ripe fruit, cranberry, spice box, cedar, vanilla, and hint of wet cement(?). Grilled meats, game, heavier cheeses.
Always our most robust and masculine wine. Even though still in barrel, this pinot noir delivers the signature minerality of this particularly clay-rich terroir. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, undated.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
