Lawson's Dry Hills 2021 Sauvignon Blanc is a vegan-friendly SB produced from sustainably-grown grapes sourced from a certified sustainable vineyard in the Marlborough wine region. A vibrant and racy SB, most of the wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks, but a portion was produced in neutral French oak barrel. Bright with dried white florals, gooseberry, passion fruit, fresh herbs generous on the palate and ending on a stony mineral note. Crafted by Ross and Barbara Lawson who have been grape growers since 1980, and winemakers since 1992. This winery is part of the Family of Twelve, a group of a dozen artisanal wineries founded in 2005, six of which are from the North Island and six from the South Island.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: grilled Dijon chicken stuffed with ham and cheese, salads topped with grilled shrimp, fish tacos.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Aromas of mango, scallion and sweet herbs in this zesty new Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with flavours of tropical fruit, lemon curd, cucumber and fresh herbs. Bright mouthwatering acidity with a light body and refreshingly clean finish. A nice pairing with herbed chicken or fish. Enjoy! - tasted September 2022
