Fresh and crisp on the nose; toasty and dry on the palate. Terrific mouth-watering acidity meets creamy, rich texture. The finish is dry and refreshing. Terrific, especially for this price! Try with seafood. this lovely bubbly is made from three grapes: Chenin, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc selected form the best terroirs of the Samur region. It is aged for a minimum of 2 years in the truffeau (chalk rock) cellars.

Crémant De Loire food pairings: sashimi, Thai coconut shrimp, pasta with cheese-based sauce, caviar, shellfish, tempura, grilled fish.

Reviews and Ratings

Brian Gray Hamilton rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Biscuit, apple, pear, palette shows lemon, fresh bread. Lovely fine bubbles, long fresh mineral finish, with marzipan. 60% chenin Blanc 20%chardonnay 21% cabernet Franc. Traditional method. Minimum 18 months on lees with grapes sourced from 5-6 vineyards. Pair with shellfish. Excellent value.
This fresh sparkling wine is made mostly from the Chenin Blanc grape (two-thirds), which is the Loire Valley's classic grape for dry, still white wines. Also making a special appearance in the blend are a fifth each Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc grapes to add depth and richness of flavour. This bubbly was matured for two years on the lees (yeast) to add creaminess. Serve well chilled. - Community Wine Reviews
