Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A delightful blend of Chenin Blanc with Chardonnay, Clairette and Viognier from South Africa. It has a pretty nose with white florals, tropical banana and a touch of lemon. The palate shows lemon, tropical guava, banana, ripe pineapple and vanilla. Crisp and dry with a long zingy citrus finish. A lovely wine for Spring-try it soon!
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

For those that like to gamble comes this white blend of Chenin Blanc(28%), Chardonnay(37%),Clairette Blanche(19%) and Viognier(16%). Aromas and flavours including oxidized apple, pear, white peach, citrus, caramel, floral, and honeycomb. Bright acidity and a long honey citrus finish. Perfect with chips, nuts and a game of poker...or Roulette. Serve chilled.
Tasted: March 2015
This South African white wine is both unfined and unfiltered and was matured on its lees to add richness, depth and complexity. The Lammershoek wine grapes come from old dry-land bush vines, are whole bunch basket pressed and aged in oak and concrete tanks for 18 months on the lees. - Community Wine Reviews
