Savoury and mouth-watering with dark chocolate, blackberry, cassis, leather and happiness. Good acidity: terrific in wine if you actually want to drink it with food. Terrific craftsmanship here. This would make a memorable dinner party wine or hostess gift. Tastes twice the price.

Chianti Classico food pairings: grilled meats.

Reviews and Ratings

The bouquet is rich, with red berry fruit supported by dusky greenish accents and some hints of yellow peach, and also pleasing mentholated accents. Nice balance and quite a bit to say. On the palate it’s fresh, with rich cherry plum fruit supported more by iodine bitterness than acidity, and by smooth sweet tannins that flow into a decidedly bitter finish … will drink nicely with grilled meats and roasts, especially leaner meats such as roast beef, cooked rare and sliced fairly thickly. It grew upon me. Score: 2 (out of 3) Source: Kyle Phillips, Italian Wine Review

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
