After Italian producers, this Mexican winery is the world’s largest producer of wines made from the Nebbiolo grape. A mouthful of ripe berry and black fruit rewards drinkers of this supple, robust wine. Incredible concentration and depth. Pair with grilled meats. Incredibly great price for such quality and taste.

Nebbiolo food pairings: hearty meats, pasta in tomato sauce, cheddar cheese, risotto with mushrooms, beef braised in Barolo.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

What does Nebbiolo smell and taste like when it's grown outside it's native Piedmont - well not Nebbiolo, but it makes a nice wine. The nose misses some of the complex aromas of Nebb but with a nice fruitiness surpassing Piedmont examples. Possessing the solid tannin structure typical of this grape but with softer acids. Somewhat more reminicent of Dolcetto (for you wine geeks out there).
Yes, Nebbiolo likes the Guadalupe Valley in Baja, California. L.A. Cetto's Private Reserve (2012) is produced by one of the largest producers of wines made from the Nebbiolo grape after Italy. Good concentration and structure on this wine and great value here. Pair with grilled meats or aged hard cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews
