Minty blackberry on the nose draws you in then a savoury full-bodied weight and texture keeps you there. Great price.

Reviews and Ratings

Gabriel Israel rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Extra point for value! On the nose, smoked meat and dark berries. On the palate, smooth, medium-full body. Balanced. Focused. Peppery. Berries jam. What a beautiful long finish. By a case and enjoy it as your house wine.
Lee Newby - AIWS reviewed this wine as follows:

Grape Varieties: Syrah 93%, Malbec 7%.

Very good wine with ripe mixed berry fruit and savoury umami over mint with baking spice. The fruit has medium plus intensity and very good concentration. The medium tannins are mature and balance the medium acid very well. The finish is medium plus and sweet. Drink now and for 2-3 years.

Proves that Chile is developing a very deft hand at Syrah. Aromas suggest blackberry, pepper, soya sauce and smoked meat. Dry with plentiful fruit impeccably balanced by grippy tannins. Medium-full bodied with a long, structured finish. This one will benefit from cellar time (2-4 years) and then will drink very well for 5 years beyond that. Source: Vintages Wine Catalogue.
