This walks the fine line for dessert wine... honeyed essence. Beautifully concentrated apricot elixir with lychee and rose petal. Got Asian spice or heat or something sweet? This is your wine.

Gewürztraminer food pairings: lighter-flavoured sea-food dishes, Asian dishes, pork tenderloin, curried rice.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A lighter option for a dessert wine, if you like the sweetness of a dessert wine without the fullness of an icewine. Aromas of honey, lychee, apricot, and some floral notes. Full bodied, with smooth, fruity notes on the palate, and those honey flavours coming through on the finish. Enjoy as an after dinner sipper, but could also complement lighter curry dishes with some spice.
Konzelmann's Late Harvest (2014) is a late-harvest Gewurztraminer with lychee, ripe melon and pear on the nose and palate. Full on the palate with vibrant acidity, Fourth-generation winemaker, Herbert Konzelmann, came from Germany to Canada in the 1980s and created the Konzelmann winery in the Niagara Peninsula wine growing region, a wine region that reminded him of Alsace. Pair this beautiful late-harvest gewurz with mild vegetarian curries or a roast of pork with apricot compote. - Community Wine Reviews
