A lovely dessert wine made from Ontario peaches. This Konzelmann wine offers aromas of peaches and ripe apricot. Fourth-generation winemaker, Herbert Konzelmann, came from Germany to Canada in the 1980s and created the Konzelmann winery in the Niagara Peninsula wine growing region, a wine region that reminded him of Alsace.

Peachwine food pairings: Asian dishes, pork tenderloin, curried rice, peach cobbler.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This is truly Ontario summer in a glass. Peaches at the peak of ripeness jump out of the glass. There is a great balance of acidity, ripe fruit and a hint of a citrus note on the palate. I would enjoy this instead of dessert, but this wine also has enough body, acid and sweetness to pair with mild curry dishes or something using a spicy and fruit forward sauce.
Created from local Niagara-on-the-Lake peaches. Contains aromas and flavours of tree ripened peaches with a fresh crisp finish. Excellent for sipping on the patio and creating your own Peachwine Spritzer!
