This Prince Edward County white wine is a blend of Chardonnay grapes from three of the winery's estate vineyards, including Closson, Benway and Foxtail. Each parcel of grapes was matured separately in French oak barrels for 1 year, of which 80% is neutral. Aromas of melon and peach. Round and supple with a medium body weight. Pair with roast chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: grilled chicken breast, shrimp salad, creamy cheeses.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is funky and smooth and delicious. Unripe stone fruit, lemon curd, Bosc pear, flowers, dried golden delicious apple, cool spice, and smoke. The nose is a touch botrytized. 91 Points.
Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This lovely Chardonnay tastes as good as it looks! The soft yellow colour hints at the pear and floral notes. The initial buttery feel in the mouth gives way to a crisper layer of citrus and light pepper. This would be great paired with a creamy pasta dish or boiled lobster. Tasted September 15, 2018.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A combination of Chardonnay grapes sourced from three different prime vineyards in the County and blended after 10 months in barrel. An elegant and bright bouquet reminiscent of poached pears, smoke-infused dried apples, apricots, honeysuckle floral blossoms and fresh chives. Flavours affirm splashes of mouth watering citrus, lemon zest, yellow apples, pears, white peaches with a delicate white pepper spiciness at the end. Crisp and light with sharp acidity and lingering touches of distinct Prince Edward County flinty minerality and yeasty driven elements that balance nicely with a light body and finish. Pair with crab cakes and garlic buttered shrimp. 90 points
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Delightful caramel and tropical guava nose, with rich tropical fruit, lemon and vanilla on the palate. Just a hint of smoke. Great with roast chicken.
Tasted Sept. 2018
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of golden apple, pear, dried fruit and spice.Smooth and full bodied on the palate, with lots of that golden apple, pear and some floral notes on the palate. Medium acidity and a lengthy finish. Enjoy with rich scallops of lobster, any rich seafood.
