Vibrant and zesty with tart wild field raspberry aromas and flavours. Lots of character and energy in this wine. It would be perfect for summer picnics and patio sipping.

Aromas of watermelon, red pepper jelly, red apple, strawberry, garden herbs and maraschino cherry. The palate is a lesson in how awesome it is when sweet flavours meet savoury. Tremendous ripe red fruit and a refreshing acidity. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, June 2013

2012 Rebecca Rose

Cabernet Franc grape varietal was selected for our unique and refreshing rose wine done in traditional French style. After being handpicked and sorted to ensure only the ripest berries make it into our wines, grapes were gently de-stemmed, crushed and left at a near freezing temperature overnight to extract just enough colour for the wine to be salmon pink and prevent any extraction of tannins from the grape skins. Next morning skins were gently pressed away from must, and juice was cold settled for an extended period of time. Fermentation was conducted at cool temperatures using special selected yeasts followed by light lees contact to maintain complexity. The wine was finally cold stabilized then bottled on February 27/2013.

This Rose was crafted to be rich, refreshing and crisp, a fun and versatile wine. Vibrant salmon pink in colour with fresh aromas of strawberries, watermelon, pink grapefruit and sweet red pepper jelly. Great intense flavour and well balanced on the palate, this wine has nice length of finish. Best served chilled.
