Reviews and Ratings

Lesley Quinn - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

A Riesling from Heiligenstein is like a Chardonnay from Montrachet, a pure expression of terroir. In other words it's like the Harvard of the wine world, some amazing wines have graduated from this site in the Kamptal of Austria. This Grand Cru (Erste Lage) Riesling from winery Jurtschitsch is a graduate with incredible potential. Notes of lime mingle amongst scents of river rocks and minerals. A bone dry wine with incredible elegance, soft yet mouth watering. Clean and crisp with a finish that is so delicious inevitably your eyes close as you try to fully appreciate the prize in your mouth. Enhance the Ivy league experience by pairing this wine with fresh shellfish, oysters are my favourite but this wine can work with clams, mussels, or all the above.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
