Probably one of the most expensive Italian Pinot Grigios on the market, and definitely one of the best. Racy acidity on the palate with lime freshness and lemon lift. Robust with more complexity than most Italian Pinot Grigios, which you'd expect. Pair with grilled fish.

Pinot Grigio food pairings: oysters on the half-shell, frittata, Dungeness crab, grilled lake fish.

Reviews and Ratings

Tania Thomas - CSW, WSET ADV rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This intense fruity white is a true crowd-pleaser. Vinified with 100% Pinot Grigio grapes sources from the high altitude vineyards in Friuli region of northern Italy. Light, crisp and fresh with pronounced aromas and flavours of ripe white peaches, orchard fruits and zesty citrus. Complex with luxurious mouthfeel and excellent acidity. Extremely food versatile, this is a perfect pairing with sautéed calamari and seafood based pasta dishes. Score: 92/100. Tasted November 2017. Tania Thomas – www.runawaygrape.com
From Venezia Giulia, Friuli wine region, Jermann (2016) is a medium-weight Pinot Grigio with nicely layered ripe peach, soft orange citrus and tropical fruit flavours on the palate. This PG has is zesty and is made-for-food wine. In this case seafood stews and creamy pasta dishes. - Community Wine Reviews
