Lovely cherry berry ripeness on the nose yet perfectly balanced with racy acidity on the palate. Monterey makes spectacular Pinot Noir at great prices, like this one. Pair with pasta primavera.

Pinot Noir food pairings: veal medallions, roasted pork loin, prime rib, coq au vin, grilled tuna with a pepper crust.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Terrific value priced Pinot from Monterey, California. Well balanced, nice fruit and structure. Enjoy 2015-2018, and back up the truck and purchase this by the case! At $20 you'd be hard pressed to find a more enjoyable Pinot at this price point. Tasted May 2015. 91+ points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The nose on this pinot is devine. Ripe red cherry, fresh crisp cranberry, some minerality-earthy funk and a touch cinnamon spice are my key notes. Its uber mouthwatering, medium-light bodied, little to no tannins with a luscious mouthfeel. It should make for a yummy woodfired pizza wine!
Finishes with exotic notes of wild violets and hickory smoke. The Pinot Noir grapes for this silky Californian red wine grow in vineyards that benefit from the tempering influence of the Pacific Ocean. The vines are planted in ancient alluvial soils that were deposited by rivers and floods. - Community Wine Reviews
