Right on the edge of peak or past-peak but still lovely. Dried leather and cigar box. Drink now. Full-bodied and smooth with lots of good acidity.

Chianti Classico food pairings: rich tomato and roasted Italian vegetables sauce over penne, beef stuffed tomatoes and peppers, vegetarian lasagne.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 82/100 with the following review:

Regarding colour, this wine is garnet.

On the nose, mature aromas: Autumn leaves and earthy tones, leather and cinnamon.

The palate follows the nose with the earthy Autumn notes. The tanins are still present but are nice and smooth. This wine should be enjoyed soon.
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted Sept. 11th, 2018. Colour garnet. Legs thick. Aromas and flavours of, red currant, sun dried tomatoe, raspberry sauce, leather. Taste extra dry, medium body, red fruit, mouthwatering, grippy cotton mouth tannin, a little alcohol heat. Finish long mouthwatering tomatoe herb. His wine paired lovely with a nice fresh pasta Lasagne.. the iciness of the wine complements the sauce. Still has life remaining serve at 16 to 18C.
This robust Chianti Classico from Tuscany, Il Molino Di Grace Reserva (2009) is on the edge of its peak but still holding on. Lots of dried leather and cigar box spice on his one. Drink now and don't hesitate. - Community Wine Reviews
