A spectacularly rich and complex red wine blend of 41% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Cabernet Franc grapes from the heart of BC's Okanagan Valley. This wine offers aromas of dark berries and plums wrapped in seductive notes of smoke and black spice. Decant 1-2 hours. Enjoy with hearty meat dishes and hard cheeses.

The Judge food pairings: Braised short ribs or well aged cheeses.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Always a stunning signature wine from Hester Creek. This vintage is made from 41% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 28% Cabernet Franc. Aromas of black plum and blackberry, along with hints of mocha, dried herbs, cigar box and campfire smoke. Full bodied, smooth and velvety with soft, subtle tannins on the palate, and medium+ acidity. Lots of rich, deep berry flavours balanced with hints of mocha and smoke along with a touch of a dried herbal note. Enjoy with a grilled steak and peppercorn sauce.
