Love this wine vintage after vintage. Try it with Thai and spicy food -- bang on! Oh, happy cherry pie, welcome to my taste buds. Cinnamon spice sprinkled over my senses. Gorgeous and complex Niagara icewine made from Cabernet grapes. Pair with chocolate cheesecake and a smile.

Cabernet Icewine food pairings: cheesecake, chocolate mousse, crème brûlée, banana-split.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Cabernet Franc makes wonderfully aromatic icewine. This producer, nestled in the Short Hills Bench appellation, is a family run business of the Speck family. Their talent for ripening reds from their older vines never ceases to amaze. Even if you are familiar with icewine, try this well priced one to recalibrate exactly what red icewine can accomplish.
Beautiful transparent ruby. Glasscoating and with some orange and pink hues.
The aromas have some spiced orange peel, cranberry, appleskin, strawberry or cherry sorbet.
The flavpurs have such a lipsmacking acidity. It was handled perfectly. Juicy cherry, strawberry, and red delicious apple. Some subtle cinnamon and nutmeg.
Put this pretty number on your holiday table with baked brie or sharp english cheese. Some nice macadamia nuts as something to munch on while you contemplate such a pretty wine. Keep it a max of ten years.
From the Niagara Peninsula wine region, Henry of Pelham's 2015 Cabernet Icewine is a dessert in itself with flavours of cherry, red berry cobbler and Christmas cake spice. Serve chilled on its own or with a linzertorte. - Community Wine Reviews
