Kevin Judd, of Cloudy Bay wine fame, produces this signature 2016 New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with classic herbal aromas, lemon grass and light green vegetable aromas with mouth-watering acidity. Such a food friendly wine. Greywacke is a type of sandstone that is hard and dark in color. It has different sized grains of quartz, feldspar, and small rock fragments set in a compact, fine clay matrix. It is mostly found in Palaeozoic strata. Fresh and captivating with nervy acidity for shellfish. The name of this winery, Greywacke, is actually pronounced Greywacky. Kevin Judd produces this signature New Zealand Sauvignon Blanch with classic herbal aromas, fresh cut grass and asparagus with mouth-watering juiciness. Zesty, crisp, clean and medium-bodied. Ultra-refreshing as an aperitif or companion to line-caught halibut.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: cheese, shellfish, Caesar salad, corned beef and cabbage, turkey pot pie.
