Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Crafted from hand harvested Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvingnon and Syrah, this intensely ruby coloured red matured 12 months in new French and American oak. The result was an enjoyable medium to full bodied wine with rich vanilla and cedar notes woven throughout its ripe dark fruit core. Pair this product of Spain’s Jumilla appellation with smoked meats or sip on its own. Enjoy.

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This is a blend of Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Aromas show blackberry fruit, leather, tobacco and earthy forest pine. Flavours reveal red plums, dried cherries, toasted oak, dark chocolate and fruity elements of raspberry puree. Medium bodied with crisp acidity and grippy velvety tannins. This would pair a meat hearty pasta dish, grilled burgers or steak nicely.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Aromas include blackberry, black cherry, with hints of black pepper, warm tobacco hints and a slight savoury note. Full bodied on the palate with smooth tannins, bright acidity, lots of mouthwatering black fruit, and a spicy finish. Enjoy this with your next prime rib roast.
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A dark, brooding label invokes a mood with this full-bodied wine from Jumilia, Spain. A blend of Monastrell , Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, there is dark cherry and oak aromas that continue on through the palate. Medium to high tannins so this wine should be decanted or aged further. A smooth, dry finish. Pair with barbeque or roast beef. Tasted February 2020.
From Ego Bodegas in the Jumilla wine region, Goru Gold 2017 is a full-bodied Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah red wine blend with ripe dark cherry, toasty oak spice and dark chocolate aromas on the nose. Dry with dark cherry, cedar, toasty oak spice and cocoa flavours on the palate. Park with dark chocolate or a chicken mole. - Community Wine Reviews
