One of my favourite Californian bubblies! Toasty and fresh at a great price. Don't limit yourself to pre-dinner toasts and New Year's Eve with this terrific bubbly: drink it throughout the meal and throughout the year. In fact, why not make a resolution to do so now? Pair with fried chicken, oysters and other shellfish.

Food pairings: chicken, curried dishes, pretzels, green peppers.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Points for value! An expressive bubbly with notes of baked apple pie, crust, pear, floral, baking spices, biscuit. Creamy texture with persistent tiny bubbles. Made with approx 90% Pinot Noir and the balance Chardonnay. This sparkling Brut was bottle fermented in bottle and spent 18 months on the proprietary yeasts. Elegant enough to kick off a black tie event or dress it down for potato chips and a DVD.
Tasted: December 2014

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
