Fantastic value for the price. A gorgeous southern French red wine from the Languedoc region. Very expressive and aromatic with lovely replays of violets, fleshy blackberry and black pepper on the nose and palate.

Syrah food pairings: roast leg of lamb, pork loin, rare ribeye steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A Southern France red from the Languedoc region - lovely nose with dark fruit, violet and black pepper and a hint of cassis. Spicy with well integrated dark fruit on the palate, good acidity. Good value.
Love this Syrah from the Pays d'Oc wine region. Gayda (2014) is a southern belle from the Languedoc. Floral, blackberry. savoury herbs, mint and pepper on the nose and palate, try this one with a charcuterie plate and aged cheese. The Syrah grapes for this wine were grown in sandstone, limestone, clay-limestone and granitic schist soils. - Community Wine Reviews
