Extraordinary. Complex, rich, deep and powerful. Classic aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant that rise above the genre with classic, elegant expression. This Australian Cabernet is comprised of single parcels of grapes fom the vineyard that are blended in a never to be repeated again blend. Buying this wine should not be the exception, but rather the rule.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: steak.

Corinna Horton rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A classic, rich, dark fruited Australian wine, Fowles Wine The Exception Cabernet Sauvingnon 2010 is complex and multi-layered. From it’s opening notes of blackberry and dark plum, to the faint whiff of vanilla and the roundness of cassis at the back of the mouth. This is a powerful, yet smooth bottle of wine and a terrific pairing with a great steak or rich, meaty winter stew.

My pick on on this wet, cold day for your next exceptional (see what I did there) evening.
The 2010 vintage was magical: cloudless, sunny days allowed the grapes to ripen and develop intense flavours that were preserved in their freshness during cool evenings. Available at the LCBO Vintages May 10. - Winery
