Pitch black in flavour and hue: this is a brooding, blockbuster, don't mess with me wine. Holy smoke. Black currant, black, charred plum and roasted blackberry. This wine has walked through the fires of hell and lived to tell the tale. Pair with grilled meats. It's the only thing this wine knows.

Malbec food pairings: pork roast with cranberry and cherry stuffing, pork roasted vegetables and cider stew, pork loin with prunes and sherry.

Reviews and Ratings

Terry Dineen rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

I am a huge fan of the great 2013 Argentinian vintage. The best one I have tasted has to be this wonderful Malbec. Smooth tannins, long on the finish. Full of fruit. Rush out to buy as many bottles as you can afford.
Michael Reid rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Nice fruit. Very drinkable.
This wine is 100% Malbec and that just about tells the tale of this wine because it is a true expression of that grape. Blackberry, black cherry and black plum and earthy violets on the nose, loads of concentrated blackberry, black plum, cherry, black pepper and dark chocolate on the palate. Aged 12 months in oak barrels. Wow. Definitely barbecue fare. - Community Wine Reviews
