Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Ferrari has been producing world-class Methodo Classico sparkling wine since 1902. A pioneer in premium Italian traditional method sparkling wine production, Ferrari, has been loved by many around the world for over a century. Not to be confused with another iconic Italian brand, this Ferrari has relied only on its delicious wines to build its international following. The founder's focus on creating a luxurious sparkling wine continues today with this third generation family business as Ferrari sparkling wine is enjoyed by many of the world's celebrities as their celebration wine of choice. Fortunately, this is the most affordable Ferrari, and Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine you can find, making it very accessible to all, not just those A-list celebs.

The Ferrari Brut is a non-vintage Blanc de Blancs (Chardonnay only) sparkling wine that was disgorged after over two years on its lees. The colour is a rich straw yellow, with a nose of sweet baked apples and pears, vanilla bean, biscuit, and wet stone. The delicate mousse has a wonderful palate cleansing rich tree fruit and lemon curd finish. A very attractive and complex wine that sells for under $30, making it an absolute buy-by-the-case wine! Some of the finest bubbles I've enjoyed, especially at that price! Tasted December 2014, October 2015, and September 2016. 92+ points each tasting. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

PS: In 2016 Ferrari's Brut won the prestigious "Best Italian Sparkling Wine" & "World Champion Classic Blanc de Blancs" at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championship! Incredible awards for a $25 Blanc de Blancs!
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Mouthwatering extra dry and just delicious! Attractive floral, mineral, citrus and toasted baguette aromas. Its distinct flavours include citrus (lemon and grapefruit), green apple and mineral. This wine incredibly crisp with a short clean refreshing finish. Enjoy with sashimi!
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Hand-picked and 100% chardonnay from Northern Italy's high altitude vines at 300 meters above sea level, this is the perfect celebration sparkling wine. Fresh with elegant bubbles and notes of ripe apple, and citrus topped off with a delicate aroma of freshly baked bread. Tasted October 19, 2015 - Ferrari Portfolio Tasting.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The @FerrariTrento Brut sports the historic label of the iconic Ferrari winery. This #mountainwine is 12.5% ABV, and composed of 100% hand-picked quality Chardonnay from above 1000 feet altitude. This wine label has been produced since 1902 and stays true to form in its traditional method vilification, resting a minimum of 24 months maturation on lees. On the palate, this wine shows finesse, with delicate bubbles, crisp and refreshing mouthfeel, primary notes of HoneyCrisp apple and freshly baked bread with a hint of orange blossom. Enjoy this Blanc de Blanc now. Its versatility is rooted in its design and components. This wine is a value priced traditional method Blanc de Blanc and firmly delivers quality. Recommend taking this keeper for a test drive.
Mymi Thesingingsommelier - Sommelier, FWS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

In 1952, Giulio Ferrari, a man with no heir sold his small Trento winery to Bruno Lunelli to continue in his footsteps and continue crafting his superior quality sparkling wines which at the time were only produced in very small quantities.
But that was all about to change.
Over time, with much hard work and a vision, Bruno Lunelli and his sons were able to transform Ferrari from a relatively small operation vineyard to the celebratory toast of Italy and the leader in the Metodo Classico sparkling wine market.
Today, the Lunelli Group is led by the family’s third generation and still abides by faithful principles.
The Ferrari Brut is made from 100% Chardonnay picked by hand in the Trento Hills and was the toast of the 2015 Emmy Awards Celebrity Dinner!
Silvery yellow in the glass with lively tiny bubbles.
Beautiful aromas of honey, freshly squeezed lemon juice and spring white blossoms.
Softest bulles on the palate with juicy acidity delightfully integrated with the minerality and fruitiness of the Chardonnay.
Superbly thirstchenching! Perfect for seafood appetisers or rillettes on crusty bread!
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Ferrari's entry level traditional method sparking wine is aged on lees for two years.
Pale gold, with subtle leesy notes, toasted bread, citrus lemon, pear on the nose follow to the palate. Crisp, clean, refreshing and dry with classy bubbles and a long finish. A very solid value for sparkling wine made in the Champagne style.
Tasted Oct 2015 at Ferrari portfolio tasting
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A blanc de blancs sparkling wine at a price lower than Champagne equivalents ... and I do mean equivalents. This is a classic method sparkling wine carrying all of the traditional characteristics: bread-y apricot and apple notes with a hint of butterscotch, racy acidity, tiny refreshing bubbles, and a pale gold appearance. The taste is fresh apricot and apple, and the finish is long, with a little more green and sweet apple coming through and the tingly bubbles subside.

This is a great for sparkling wine to celebrate opening a great bottle of sparkling wine with.
Made using the Méthode Traditionelle, this Italian non-vintage Brut Metodo Classico sparkling wine offers terrific value with crisp, toasty nuances. Medium-bodied with a long, dry finish. Great aperitif. - Community Wine Reviews
