Lovely and exotically different. Violets, rose petals, talcum powder and tart cherry aromas on the nose. Smooth and almost full-bodied on the palate. Good acidity for food. Try it with salmon.

Agiorgitiko food pairings: salmon, grilled chicken, spanokapita.

Reviews and Ratings

Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This single vineyard Agiorgitiko, is deep garnet and offers up intense aromas of saddle leather, cedar and cigars with an underpinning of ripe black cherry and floral notes. On the palate there's pepper and ripe black cherry. This is a full-bodied and smooth wine that has a long complex finish. This a great 'contemplative' wine or you could pair it with red meats.

Fabulous Faith rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Sweet honey and floral aromas fill your senses before your palate is greeted with mild oak, old saddle leather and cedar box. An extended clean finish with dark berry aftertaste. Acid balances tannin's and masques high alcohol, perfect with any grilled meat or as your evening stand alone.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This wine shows a pronounced burst of perfumey floral and berry fruit aromas. The palate showcases young grippy tannins with a much appreciate high (balancing acidity). Key flavours include red cherry, leather, tar, dark chocolate and a long finish. Let this one lie for at least 3-5 years, and if opening now, decant for two hours. Enjoy pairing with beef tartar. Tasted July 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
This nose on this Single Vineyard Agiorgitiko (2010) is floral with rose petals, jasmine and cherry. On the palate the wine is vibrant with fresh ziggy red berry, red currant and crushed raspberry fruit. Exotically different and has good acidity for food. Pair with grilled chicken and mango peach salsa. - Community Wine Reviews
