Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Magnific wine from Chile, the Escudo Rojo 2018 made by the great wine making family of Baron Phlippe de Rothschild offers aromas of black currant, berry jam, dried herbs, leather, mocha, cigar and oak. Blanded from 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Carmenere, 20% Syrah ad 2% Cabernet Franc providing to the wine a complexe and elegant wine. The tannin are well integrated, the acidity is appealing great to sip all day long. The finish is coating delivering flavors of ripe plum, cherry, black peper, pencil lead, mocha, spice, tobacco and oak. Great wine. Enjoy!
