Natalie's Score: 93/100

From the Aconcagua Valley wine region, the Carmenère wine grapes for Errázuriz 2018 were hand-harvested from a selection of vineyards in the Panquehue zone. The wine juice was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, then aged 14 months in French oak barrels. From a solid vintage, the nose is fresh with bright red berry, plum fruit and fine herbs velvety on the palate with food-friendly acidity. Tannins are structured and fine.

Carmenère food pairings: lamb cutlets, hamburgers, black bean soup, cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This wine is warm, with aromas of red cherry and plum, with notes of vanilla, oak and smoke. Full bodied and smooth on the palate, with lots of vibrant, ripe cherry notes and a warm spicy finish with just a hint of mocha. Enjoy with any marinated, grilled meats.
