From the Tuscany wine region, Tenuta dell'Ornellaia, Eligo Dell'ornellaia Riserva (500 ml) is produced from the pomace skins of Cabernet sauvignon, Merlot , Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot (54%/27%/16%/3%). The pomace is taken to an artisanal distillery in the Tuscan countryside, distilled in small copper stills. The grappa is then aged for a minimum of three years in Ornellaia’s very own barrels prior to blending the young grappa with older vintage reserves to give more depth and character to it.

Grappa food pairings: Grappirinha cocktail, dried fruit, bitter chocolate, savoury meat pies.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
