Black as pitch, with lots of toasty oak, smoke and tarry notes. Full-throttle Australia Shiraz in all its glory. I'm a big fan of Elderton wines, and this is one fine example of why. A lovely vein of blackberry liqueur supports this concentrated wonder. Perfect for film noir and blackened ribs.

Shiraz food pairings: BBQ meats, hearty meat meals, aged cheddar, grilled lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

From Australia's Barossa wine region, this is one full-bodied, robust, muscular Shiraz. From the Ashmead Family vineyards, this wine is a dark hue of violet-garnet in the glass and black as pitch, with lots of toasty oak, smoke and tarry notes. - Community Wine Reviews
