Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Ripe strawberries and blueberries on the nose, followed by a palate showing ripe red and dark berries, vanilla and baking spices. Long berry finish.
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Dark cherry, vanilla, and black pepper aromas, and mouthwatering spiciness, a perfect match for a wide variety of foods, but would be perfect with pizza.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Cherry, licorice, peppercorn and an earthiness to this wine. Paired with a Canadian cheddar such as Balderson Vitner's for red wine, or St. Alberts, this wine tastes a little more fruity and fresh. A nice value wine
Cherie Cole reviewed this wine as follows:

Dark cherry, ripe plum, vanilla with a hint of smoke. This medium-bodied wine pairs well with Canadian cheddars such as Balderson Vintner Old Cheddar For Red Wine or try it with Cow's Creamery Appletree Smoked Cheddar from PEI. A great value wine.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
