Reviews and Ratings

Shelley Harris rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

a full-bodied deep red wine with smoky and peppery flavours, deliciously paired with a Moroccan Chicken Tagine, full of the warm spices of cumin, fennel and paprika.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

South African red wines can be sort of funky, and this Shiraz fit that bill. Nose shows roasted peppers, black pepper, with nice dark fruit in the background. Medium full bodied, this is a big wine that would complement BBQ fare with roasted vegetables. Tasted February 2015. 87 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby, spicy nose with plummy fruit, herb and a bit of a medicinal note. A little rustic with cherry, plum, toasty with some grilled herb as well. There is some interest and complexity for the money - try pairing with herb crusted pork loin roast.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Dried fruit, coffee bean, cocoa powder, and a slight funkiness. Warm wine with a coffee finish.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Candied ripe black plum, coffee, toasted marshmallow, and a little baking spice give this quite an interesting aroma. The soft aromas are a bit deceptive as the taste is bright and acidic with some nice tannins. It's not overly fruity, but there's combination of sweet and tart cherry. The finish is a bit short leaving just the tannins and acidity. This would pair reasonable well with nuts and hard cheeses.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Offers dark fruit and cherry flavors with a bit of cinammon appearing on the finish.
