Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

It is very difficult to find fault with this wine. It has lots of fresh and preserved citrus, melon, ripe stonefruit (apricot?), and currant leaf. There's a hint of quince paste on the finish that wraps everything up very nicely. This could age for years. Drink now through 2032. 94 Points.
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted Jan. 7th, 2018. Colour, brilliant light gold, with light running legs. Aromas and flavours of pear, apple, cantaloupe, mango, papaya and white pepper. Taste dry, fruity lemon, mouthwatering plus, medium mouthfeel, low alcohol, no tannin. Finish medium with mouthwatering citrus lemon. I like this wine because it has terrific flavours crisp freshness easy to drink and has a bit of complexity. Pair it with shell fish. I had it with some 2year old Balderson white cheddar. Highly recommend if you like Riesling that is dry not sweet. Yea Alsace!
From Domaines Schlumberger Kessler (2014) this is a Grand Cru, bone dry Alsatian Riesling that can handle anything from slow-braised smoked pork ribs to braised pork hocks and sauerkraut. The wine is elegant, but robust. Look for ripe peaches, apples and honeydew melon with a serious citrus and spicy finish on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews
