Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby red, this blend of old vine Carignan, Grenache, and Syrah from the Corbieres appelation in the south of France, shows perfumed dark berries, figs, clove, spice, and mocha. Great struture, texture, and balance in this super value priced wine. Enjoy with smoky BBQ fare. Tasted June 2016. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Ruby with garnet hue, well-balanced, Integrated, medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium plus tannins. Dark plum, blackberry, graphite minerality, forest floor. Pairs well with BBQ grilled chicken. Tasted 2013 vintage in July 2017. 90 points. Great value. BespokeTastings
Emmanuel Belanger rated this wine as 86/100
Old vine Carignan, Grenache and Syrah grapes make up Corbières l'Ermite 2013 from the Languedoc region. The region is hot -- in fact, the hottest in France, but is tempered by the Mediterranean Sea and so the Mediterranean climate shows in the ripe, black cherry fruit jam, garrigue and mineral flavours of the wine. Medium-bodied with silky tannins, this wine should be enjoyed over the next two to three years. - Community Wine Reviews
