Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. Deep ruby red with a complex nose showing black liquorice, dark fruit, pencil shavings, underbrush - very Bordeaux-esque. Palate showing blackberry, dark cherry, dark chocolate, mint, and extremely well balanced between fruit, acid, and tannins. 1/3 barrel aged in a mix of French and American oak (no new oak), this complex wine would pair wonderfully with a delicious rib steak with roasted vegetables.
Tasted January 2014. 90+ pts. Matt Steeves
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely Bordeaux style Cabernet Sauvignon 60% and Merlot 40% blend. Deep ruby red and full-bodied. Aromas of dark cherry, caramel, oak, graphite, eucalyptus. The palate has evident tannins structured with plump dark fruit, plums, pencil, oak and vanilla. Nicely layered wine. 1/3 of the wine aged 1 yr in old French and American oak. This beauty begs for red meat and game meat. Winemaker suggests this wine could be cellared 5 yrs.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
