Reviews and Ratings

Astrid Young - Sommelier ISG CAPS rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Big and blowsy, boozy and for the price, perfectly fine. Typical Central Coast profile showing tomato and tomato leaf notes with just a hint of bacon fat. Massively textured, with a mouth-coating dollop of first vanillin, then some dark berry fruit, cooked cherries, even a hint of stewed rhubarb. Though it's a tad clumsy, it's not meant to be the belle of the ball, and it's quite enjoyable with the sweet and delicate flavors of the tortiere i am having with it. 13.5% but it comes across much hotter up front, while it mellows into a smoky finish on the back. good value, it'll do well with all kinds of food, pretty much anything that's on your plate right now.
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

A powerful Pinot that touts voluptuous aromas of red cherry, vanilla, earth and spice, followed by a rush of black cherry and plum with hints of toasted hazelnut, tobacco and cigar box on the palate. Supple, sleek tannins and lush fruit make this wine a perfect pair for salami and arugula pizza, slow roasted pork loin or dry bried chicken stuffed with sausage and peppers.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
