Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Rich aromas of ripe plum, dark cherry, black tea, chocolate, a touch of cinnamon, followed by a cedar note, all emanate from the Decoy Zinfandel 2013. From Duckhorn Winery, located in Sonoma County, California, this Zin shows attractive aging potential. Silky tannins with fine tuned acidity, the Decoy reveals a full body with a lengthy finish. Its bold character is driven by ripe plum, juicy raspberry, fresh herb, sweet vanilla and cedar. Pair with peppercorn steak. Enjoy!

Produced by Duckhorn Wine Company, operated by the Duckhorn family, this Californian red wine called Decoy (a play on the duck theme) is made from Zinfandel grapes. Lots of sweet jammy notes. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
