A bone-dry Spanish red wine blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha and Carinena grapes. Smoky, earthy, not fruit forward. Pair with lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Aromas of blueberry, graphite, cedar, and black cherry. The taste is bold with blackberry, black cherry, and graphite. Definitely a rare red meat wine.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This 7+ year old wine is "a point" right now, the tannins are quite tame, dark berry fruit soft, as is the acidity, and alcohol only 13%. Notes of leather and spice weave through. A bit of a lightweight, but pleasant enough. Drink now.
Valérie Dufour - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Bold sunny nose full of spices (clove) and black cherries with notes of cedar and char. The mouth is simpler and it might be a good thing, but might be underwhelming for people who like flavour bomb. I think it is missing something to be great. Would be nice with grilled rosemary lamb.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

I would have expected this to be a fuller wine than it was with the blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha and Carinena grapes. A smooth, medium body red that should be drunk now. The fruit has faded and the tertiary aromas are more prevalent. Pair with meatloaf or chicken burgers for a Friday night meal!
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 82/100 with the following review:

An interesting blend, despite it petering out at the end…
Presentation: Classic, somewhat underwhelming, but easy to read.
Appearance: Medium-dark ruby
Nose: Sour cherries, cedar
Taste: Cedar, wood, earth, leather.
Finish: Long, cedar, but a little flat.
Overall impression: Interesting. I’m a little disappointed that the wine falls a little flat at the end given the combination of varietals in the wine.
Value: 3.5 out of 5
