Conundrum 2022 is a great value California white wine blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscat Canelli and Viognier produced by Charles F. Wagner. No conundrum here whether to buy it or not at $19. Fragrant, medium-bodied and off-dry, look for ripe peach, tropical fruits, melon and soft citrus flavours on this zesty, food versatile white to enjoy chilled on its own or to sip with seafood or seacuterie dishes. Conundrum was first made in 1989 and has increased in popularity ever since. Grapes for this vintage were sourced from prime California sites from Napa Valley to Santa Barbara County.

White food pairings: coquilles St Jacques, Greek salad, salmon tartare served on shaved carrot and zucchini, fish tacos, grilled Mahi Mahi, pan-fried lemon sole.

Reviews and Ratings

From Charles F. Wagner, prop., Conundrum 2022 is a great value California white wine blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscat Canelli and Viognier. Absolutely great value at $19, it is fragrant, medium-bodied and off-dry with ripe peach, tropical fruits, lychee and soft citrusy flavours on the palate. A joy to drink! Conundrum was first made in 1989 and has increased in popularity ever since. Chill and enjoy it on its own or with a with a spicy pad Thai or a crawfish ragout. - Community Wine Reviews
