Reviews and Ratings

Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

A deeply coloured and layered Cabernet blend from the Maipo Valley in Chile (93% Cab. Sauvignon, 7% Cab. Franc). This wine has an intoxicating aroma of currants, blackberries, liquorice, deli meats, olives, soil, and peppermint. Extra-dry, smooth tannins, luscious mouthfeel, and a rich long finish. What is there not to love in this wine? Score 96. (Reviewed Nov. 2016)
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Floral, fruit forward and robust. A rush of red and black-berry-fruit dominate the aromas and flavours upfront, but soon after comes a glorious complexity and depth of flavours including tobacco leaf, dark chocolate and spice. The Chilean Jefe is full-bodied showing moderate tannins (satiny smooth) and a balanced mouthwatering acidity! Tasted Nov 2016 - @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
From Puente Alto Vineyard, A lovely and elegant wine with a silky smooth texture and medium- to full-bodied weight. Aromas of dark fruit and just the right amount of oak. - Community Wine Reviews
