Very grand cru Burgundy in style. Liquid lovely! This wine is based on meticulate barrel selection of the best chardonnays from various pockets of the vineyards. It's vibrant and alive in the glass with rich aromas and flavours of green apple and butterscotch. The yield was only 1-2 tons per acre further concentrating the wine.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A definite highlight from my recent trip to #PEC wineries. Brilliant yellow. Medium body. Tropical fruit, peach, golden apple, grass, banana bread aromas. Smooth, buttery mouthfeel with long vanilla and butter tart finish. Absolutely delightful. Creamy pasta dishes, cheese/fruit tray, seafood, roasted chicken or pork. It's that good!
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The South Clos Chardonnay 2011 is a great fresh tasting Chardonnay! Peach, banana, tropical fruit, and a hint of minerality. Very smooth/creamy mouth feel with a medium to long finish of vanilla and fruit. Tasted October 7, 2013 (91/100)
