Good juicy bite on he palate of this full-bodied, savoury Australian red wine. Not all fleshy fruit... this wine talks back (to your senses and reason). The Claymore Shiraz Viognier is juicy and mouth-watering with purple and black plum aromas and flavours. Full-bodied, smooth and satisfying. Satin smooth tannins with a long finish. Great value. Pair with a rare steak.

Shiraz food pairings: steak, hamburgers, meat lovers pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From Clare Valley in South Australia, a very dark garnet red, aromatic Shiraz with dark red fruit, plums and spice on the nose. The palate repeats with a peppery tang. Full-bodied, well-balanced, elegant finish.
This full-bodied Australian red wine is mostly Shiraz, with a splash of the white wine grape Viognier, which gives it a floral lift through the mid-palate. This blend is popular in Australia and creates wine of great complexity and depth. This is a robust blend of two estate-grown Clare Valley Shiraz vineyards that are dry grown and aged in spicy oak. Pair this wine with relaxing. - Community Wine Reviews
