Reviews and Ratings

Carola Price rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Inky red to core. Nose of black cherry, cassis, baking spices, leather and tobacco. In the mouth the alcohol attacks then leads to black fruits with some spice and tobacco at the end. Tannins are present but soften with aeration. Recommend decanting or holding this baby for 5 years or more. If you do drink it now pair it with Beef Wellington or a stewed veggie Tagine. Drink 5 to 15 years.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Meaty, deep and bold. Showing earthy notes with old world charm. Strawberry, cassis, tomato leaf, baking spice, chalky minerality and dark chocolate. Paired well with braised beef lasagna. Tasted 2012 vintage decanted 2h in Nov 2017. 92 points. Accessibly priced. Great value. #bespoketastings
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Ripe, black cherry, plum, cinnamon and vanilla. Excellent balance between acidity and tannins. Would pair very well with braised beef dishes. Tasted July 24, 2016.
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Wonderful aromas of red and black fruits, candied apple, herbs, white pepper, and cedar. Extra dry, astrigent, yet fresh mouthfeel with long soft and dry red cherry finish. Should be decanted at least 30-45 minutes before serving.
