Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This wine is ruby red and declared at 13.5% abv. What a wonderful wine. Offering medium complexity with aromatics of rich, robust red berry and blackberry, ripe plum, chalky minerality, dark chocolate, savoury herbs and a hint of eucalyptus on the palate. This wine is medium plus bodied, medium acidity, medium tannins, well integrated, medium plus alcohol and well balanced. Long finish with persistence of fresh ripe blackberry. Diversity in pairings makes this A great companion with seared AAA beef Tex mex fajitas, herb-basted beer can chicken, or seared yellowfin tuna steak. Tasted January 2016. Enjoy 2016-2018.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A lovely red from the Columbia Valley. This wine pours with deep ruby appearance and thick slow glass coating legs. The aromas are developing with moderate intensity of black and red berry fruit with a hit of mint. The palate reflects the notes from the aromas along with black plums, cedar and graphite minerality. This wine is medium bodied with pronounced acidity, medium (-) tannins, and a long pithy mint finish. Even though this Cab Sauv is not your typical style, it is easy drinking And summer bbq pairing ace. Enjoy with chimichurri steak, carne asada tacos or lamb skewers. Tasted Jan 2016.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Rich black fruit aromas gives way to blackberry, black current, blueberry and oak flavors. A soft finish lingers nicely.
Winemaker Ray McKee offers superb craftsmanship in this robust and richly flavoured Washington red wine. This vibrant Cabernet Sauvignon hails from a strong vintage for the state, 2012. For the first time, McKee used a VitiSort optical sorter with grapes at harvest to remove debris that is not grapes. This a blend of fruit grown in the winery's Canoe Ridge Estate, Cold Creek and Indian Wells vineyards. - Community Wine Reviews
