Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This producer (Paul Mas) has some excellent valued wines on the market. Often, their grapes outsode the appellation for a specific region and end up being IGP (a basic classification). This offering is much more within the realms of what wines are typically produced in their areas of Southern France.
It's a suave and classic Coteaux du Languedoc comprosed of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre.
A deep, garnet coloured wine, this one shows off some pot pourri, scrub herbs, old leather, and cherry.
Very stylish palate too. An affordable example of a region that is starting to be recognized for their quality.
More cherry, cocoa, herbs, and some charcoal and tobacco.
It is extrpverted and young now, but it will shed some firmness and really show its quality at your next weekend get-together.
Put this wine with some casspulet, or simple charcuterie.
Château Paul Mas Clos Des Mûres 2015 is a deep, dark red blend of 85% Syrah, 10% Grenache and 5% Mourvèdre from the Côteaux Du Languedoc in the very warm Midi wine region. Look for smoky black raspberry, dried garrigue herbs and savoury spice on this full-bodied, well priced red under $20. This wine received a Gold Medal at the 2017 Concours Général Agricole competition. - Community Wine Reviews
