Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Winner of the gold medal in Paris 2019, Chateau La Graviere 2016 reveals aromas of red plum, cherry, black pepper, leather, backing spice, smoke and oak. Owned by Vignobles Rodet Recapet, Chateau La Graviere is located on the right bank of Cotes-de-Bourg. A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits a lovely display of freshness and balance. Full-bodied with a fruity finish, the wine delivers flavors of raspberry, cherry, violet, cocoa, dill and cedar, great pairing wine. Enjoy!
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Blended from 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine has aromas of currant, bramble bushes, cocoa, black pepper, leather and smoke. Full bodied, bright acidity, and soft, but grippy tannins that smooth out after decanting. Fruit is dark and ripe, and there is a lot of spice, smoke, and leather balanced with berry notes. Enjoy with grilled meats.
From the Côtes de Bourg, Bordeaux wine region, Chateau La Graviere Cuvee Les Terrasses 2016 is a fantastic value Bordeaux produced from 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose, there is dried red berry, plum, red currant and savoury herb aromas. On the palate the wine mirrors its nose and finishes with well-rounded tannins and balanced acidity. Aged in stainless-steel vats and blended with 25% wines aged in oak barrels. Enjoy with grilled veal chops. - Community Wine Reviews
