Natalie's Score: 93/100

The Graves region of southern Bordeaux tends to produce the biggest red wines in the Bordeaux region. This is no exceptional. The difference here is a gorgeous balance, layered complexity and supple enticing aromas of fleshy black fruit and toasty oak. This wine has remarkable intensity and concentration for just 13.5% alcohol -- love it!

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A soft enticing nose with ripe red fruit, earth and a touch of smoke. A multi-layered palate with red fruit, earth, spice and subtle oak.Very harmonious with soft tannins. Complex red fruit finish.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Lots of ripe dark fruit in this left bank Bordeaux red wine. Dark plum, black cherry, vanilla, black earth, leather, blackcurrant leaf, graphite and eucalyptus. Tannins are polishing and acidity is balanced and refreshing. Medium bodied with a long fruit and tannin finish. This is a nicely crafted Bordeaux for $28 price tag. Drink now with potential to age. Serve with finer cuts of beef.
Tasted: March 2015
Produced by Jean-Jacques Lesgourgues, Prop., LEDA, the back label of this French red wine reads: Non Nova Sed Nove" which means "Nothing new but different" and is the guiding philosophy of this winery. The reserve wines of this estate source grapes grown in a parcel of vines called the "Grand Bos" which has deep graves soil for excellent drainage. The 2010 vintage is a blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon and 43% Merlot. - Community Wine Reviews
