Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

The 2010 vintage shows Deep ruby red with an intense purple hue, coating the glass with slow moving legs, bright and clear in the bowl. 14.5?V. Predominantly Merlot supported by Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose, this wine has clean, pronounced aromatics of ripe plum, ripe blackberry, red delicious apple, with secondary allspice, dark chocolate, sweet tobacco leaf, savoury, anise and minerality. On the palate, this wine mimics its nose with cooked dark berries, offering an off-dry, medium acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, full bodied with pronounced fruit concentration. This wine is well balanced, and well integrated and will evolve further with time. Long finish with persistence of ripe plum and blackberry. This wine is a richly concentrated deep and luscious experience and is outstanding quality, super premium, typical Bordeaux Grand Cru Classe from Graves. This wine is ageable for another 10 years , drinks well at present and can cellar easily 2015-2025. Pairs well with braised meats (beef, lamb, bison), roasted AAA prime rib, charcuterie platter or seared AAA tenderloin steak.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
