Produced by the Charles Smith Wine Company, Kung Fu Girl 2021 is an off-dry 100% Riesling from the Ancient Lakes, Columbia Valley wine region. Fragrant with green apple, quince and spicy aromas; on the palate, there is ripe peach, apricot, fine herbs, orange zest, petrol and smoky spicy notes with a mouth-wateringly good finish. Chill and enjoy with spicy foods like Korean BBQ ribs, curries or grilled garlic and sweet chilli prawns.

Riesling food pairings: seafood chowder, grilled chicken dishes, pork chops.

Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a wine made for spicy Asian food as well as spicy harvest food like butternut squash soup with ginger and like spices. The wine is off dry, light to medium body and bright acidity (high). The aroma is pronounced; lemon, lime, stone fruit like apricot and peach and a hint of honey. There is a light spritzy mouthfeel. The palate continues with lemon, lime, stone fruit and that pleasing bright food friendly acidity. A great pleasure to drink on its own or with spicy Asian food. I paired it with spring rolls, summer wraps (veggies wrapped in rice paper), spicy Sichuan chicken tacos, Tibetan dumplings, and broccoli forest rice bowl with chicken and a selection of mango ginger, sesame peanut, sweet chili and ginger peanut sauces. All combos worked well with the wine!
Kung Fu Girl 2021 is an off-dry 100% Riesling from the Ancient Lakes, Columbia Valley wine region. A juicy, light and smoky white with citrus zest, fine herbs, petrol and spicy flavours balanced with mouth-watering acidity. A perfect chop to rich, spicy ribs from the grill. - Community Wine Reviews
